Go to: Apple Menu > System Preferences...
Click on ‘Network’
If you cannot change any Network Settings, please click on the lock icon in the lower left corner of the panel to enter the admin password.

Choose the Ethernet port by clicking on the double arrows next to the ‘Show’ field. Select Built-in Ethernet

Note: If Built-in Ethernet is not available in the port menu, choose Active Network Ports from the menu, and make sure that port is shown and checked in the listing of Active Ports. To activate the port, check the port and click ‘Apply Now’. Under the TCP/IP tab set ‘Configure’ to ‘Using DHCP’
Click ‘Apply Now’ and close the window.
