Windows 2000 Operating System Set-up
Go to: Start > Settings > Network and Dial-up Connections
Choose the relevant network adaptor.
There should be an icon called Local Area Connection (LAN) -- right-click on it and
choose Properties. The window will look something like this:
Click on ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’ and then click on ‘Properties’. It will bring up a
window that looks like this:
Make sure that ‘Obtain IP Address Automatically’ and ‘Obtain DNS Server Address
Automatically’ are both checked.
